Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (Wii) - BUY IT!!

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkachi 2 is the sequel of the successful Japanese fighting game with the same name created back in 2005. This new game has been released for both the Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii consoles and has quickly become a gaming hit for most audiences worldwide.

As a fighting game, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkachi 2 centres mainly on having several fighting arenas and many playable characters to choose from. The game counts with 16 of such arenas (11 of which are part of the original Budokai Tenkachi game) and no less that 129 characters that can be selected and that include different versions of the already famous anime characters Goku, Vegito, Super Gogeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien among others.

However, this game isn’t just an expansion of its predecessor! It includes many interesting new features and just the fact of playing it thru a Wii console makes it incredibly interesting, as the motion sensor controller requires the player to mimic famous movements from the renowned series during gameplay! Furthermore, the fights take you along all over the fabulous Dragon Ball Z Saga and it is even possible to load your favourite fighter on any Wii console you want to by using a code, giving the participants ample possibilities when it comes to player versus player games. The game also allows character’s transformations and fusions, depending on the characters chosen and the type of game selected (Dragon Adventure, Free Battle, Tag Battles and so forth).

Dragon Adventure is the basic single player game that takes you thru both the Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT sagas. During gameplay the player has the opportunity to unlock many characters to play with and depending on the battle results the history course is altered. Although the battles get a little button-mashy sometimes and there is no widescreen display option available, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is nevertheless a great game to play, especially for all those fans of the original DBZ anime series.
