Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (Xbox 360)

It has been over 10 years since we were first rocked by the massive RTS (Real-time-strategy) experience that was Command & Conquer (C&C). Since then we have seen a chain of additions and expansions, all with their unique perspective on warfare, from reshaping the beginnings of WWII, to modern day desert conflict. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Xbox 360)

Over the years, Tom Clancy’ successful novels have almost made him a house hold name, though it’s the adaptations of his militaristic genre of writings that have made him a virtual god in the gaming community. From the plethora of games in the Rainbow Six series, to his Ghost Recon creations, this tactical shooter style of writing have laid the foundations of some truly awesome titles, and Splinter Cell is no exception. Guitar Hero II with X-Plorer Guitar Controller (Xbox 360)

While much of the hardcore gaming community sneers at the thought of the musical genre of gaming, the industry has an alarmingly high fan base, and an even larger sales record. Why? Because not everyone gets a shiver down their spine when picking a headshot from 200yards, or tank-rushing an opponent into submission. Yet most (if not all) enjoy music, in one form or another, and as a kid dreamed of one day being a lead singer, guitarist or well known drummer. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (Xbox 360)

While Tom Clancy is better known for his book writing abilities, it is no secret that the gaming adaptations of his militaristic genre of writings have stormed the video game industry, and the Ghost Recon series is no exception to this rule.
As many may remember, the release of the original Xbox360 title, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (or G.R.A.W), was met with praise and admiration, not only from the Ghost Recon fans, but gamers in general. Microsoft has endured a fairly rough entrance into the gaming world. Computers are the name of the game when it comes to Bill Gates’ company, so it was really no surprise that the original Xbox had quite a bit of problems overcoming the similarities to regular computer game play. The Xbox seemed rather rigid at times, and though it was a technological powerhouse, many claimed that the system had varying videogame inconsistencies, and game system recalls, which tested the overall ability of Microsoft’s videogame producing team. Microsoft has weathered many storms since the Xbox’s release, and has now introduced the Xbox 360 to the world of videogames. The Xbox 360 is a newer, heavily revised edition of the original Xbox, and has been providing Sony with some stiff competition, because like Nintendo, their product costs a lot less than the new Playstation 3. There is no questioning that Microsoft has the talent to think up a great videogame console, but there were questions of execution and game play when they first took on the role as a console producer. Those days are well in the past with the Xbox 360, which boasts better graphics, higher memory, internet capabilities, and many other options that the original Xbox could not have handled.
