Guitar Hero II

Guitar Hero II with X-Plorer Guitar Controller (Xbox 360) - BUY IT!!

Guitar Hero IIWhile much of the hardcore gaming community sneers at the thought of the musical genre of gaming, the industry has an alarmingly high fan base, and an even larger sales record. Why? Because not everyone gets a shiver down their spine when picking a headshot from 200yards, or tank-rushing an opponent into submission. Yet most (if not all) enjoy music, in one form or another, and as a kid dreamed of one day being a lead singer, guitarist or well known drummer. This is what the genre of gaming builds on, everyone’s 15 seconds of fame, or shame, in the company of friends. Read the rest of this entry »

Nintendo Wii - features

Nintendo WiiThe Nintendo Wii is one of the most revolutionary videogame consoles to approach the videogame market in quite some time. The ability of the system to have a completely unique, yet realistic controlling method is very innovative, and that is what has drawn many customers away from the Playstation 3, which has seen an overall decline in interest since the Nintendo Wii’s arrival in the marketplace. The Nintendo Wii is a very different kind of gaming system. It still has all of the necessary Nintendo graphics, along with all of the great Nintendo characters, but the designers behind the Nintendo Wii have decided to make strides in technology where other systems have opted for familiarity. The result is a great system in the Nintendo Wii, and though the new controlling system that the Wii entails has caused some damage to television sets, it is still one of the most talked about technological creations, even six months after its initial release.

Playstation 3 Console - features

Playstation 3 ConsoleThe Playstation 3 is the newest console creation from Sony, and garnered a lot of attention all over the world when its release caused a lot of riot-like experiences, mainly due to the console’s high rate of demand. The Playstation 3 is the descendant of the original Playstation, and the Playstation 2 models, which have all been very successful, and were considered to be the best consoles of each of their respective generations. The Playstation 3 has not had as easy of a path to success as its predecessors, largely due to Nintendo and Microsoft now producing consoles that have equaled the quality of the new Sony console. Many industry insiders have claimed that the Playstation 3 will mark the end of the very successful console run by Sony, who took over the market following the decline of Sega’s Dreamcast console.

XBOX 360 Console - features

XBOX 360 ConsoleMicrosoft has endured a fairly rough entrance into the gaming world. Computers are the name of the game when it comes to Bill Gates’ company, so it was really no surprise that the original Xbox had quite a bit of problems overcoming the similarities to regular computer game play. The Xbox seemed rather rigid at times, and though it was a technological powerhouse, many claimed that the system had varying videogame inconsistencies, and game system recalls, which tested the overall ability of Microsoft’s videogame producing team. Microsoft has weathered many storms since the Xbox’s release, and has now introduced the Xbox 360 to the world of videogames. The Xbox 360 is a newer, heavily revised edition of the original Xbox, and has been providing Sony with some stiff competition, because like Nintendo, their product costs a lot less than the new Playstation 3. There is no questioning that Microsoft has the talent to think up a great videogame console, but there were questions of execution and game play when they first took on the role as a console producer. Those days are well in the past with the Xbox 360, which boasts better graphics, higher memory, internet capabilities, and many other options that the original Xbox could not have handled.
